Earl C. Wyatt is the Director of Science and Technology at Eccalon LLC, where he spearheads the development and demonstration of groundbreaking technologies for both government and private sector clients. Before joining Eccalon, Earl led E. Wyatt & Associates Consulting, providing strategic and technical consulting services to major corporations and small businesses.
His expertise also contributed to the Department of Defense’s digital engineering and computational prototyping efforts, enhancing agile and resilient manufacturing processes. From May 2013 to January 2017, Earl served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Emerging Capability & Prototyping, collaborating with international partners, government labs, academia, and industry to advance cutting-edge technologies and inform acquisition policy.
Prior to this role, from September 2009 to May 2013, he was the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Rapid Fielding, focusing on the development and deployment of operational prototypes to meet urgent warfighting needs. Earl’s extensive experience includes his tenure at Booz Allen Hamilton as a Science and Technology and Unmanned Systems Subject Matter Expert, where he supported the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the Air Force Research Laboratory in developing innovative concepts for advanced platforms and systems.
Earl’s distinguished military career in the United States Air Force spanned from 1976 to 2003, achieving the rank of Colonel. His roles included Program Manager for the DARPA Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV) program, Director of Plans and Programs at the Aeronautical Systems Center, and Chief of Product Development for the F-16 during the Kosovo conflict. He also played pivotal roles in the Joint Strike Fighter and B-2 programs. Earl C.
