Clayton Nagel is the Senior Director for the National Center for Skills-Based Learning at the National Institute for Industry and Career Advancement (NIICA). With over 25 years of experience in technical training and training management, Clayton plays a crucial role in advancing NIICA's mission to develop a skilled workforce for strategic industry sectors.  

 

Previously, Clayton served as the Deputy Director of Technical Training at GLOBALFOUNDRIES, one of the world’s leading semiconductor manufacturers. During his tenure at GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Clayton worked with local colleges and universities to develop programs that build a pipeline of qualified employment candidates. He was instrumental in redefining innovation and semiconductor manufacturing by developing feature-rich process technology solutions for high-growth markets.  

 

Before joining GLOBALFOUNDRIES in 2012, Clayton worked at Hewlett-Packard as the National Training Manager, where he collaborated with external customers to implement technology solutions and train staff on new technology.  Clayton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Training and Development from the State University of New York in Oswego. He resides near Saratoga Springs, NY.
